Tamarindi Owlet

Opsiphanes tamarindi

A stout butterfly with brown wings, an orange forewing band and eyespots on the hindwing underside. It is most active at dawn and dusk, resting with wings closed by day and coming to fermenting fruit. It pairs well with Caligo owl butterflies and showcases the crepuscular side of a butterfly house.
