Dark above with a broad cream band, while the underside mimics a dead leaf dotted with small silver marks. Its flight is fast and powerful, but in a flight house it often rests with wings closed and comes readily to fermenting fruit. The contrast between its two sides makes it perfect for explaining camouflage.
