Sapho Longwing
Heliconius sapho
Black wings with a steely blue sheen, a white forewing band and a white hindwing margin. It flies calmly, usually at mid-height, and visits flowers frequently. Its iridescence shows beautifully in natural light, and it pairs well with other black-and-white longwings in a mixed display.
