Isthmian Brassolis

Brassolis isthmia

A stout relative of the owl butterflies, dark brown with an orange band across the forewing. It stays still through the day and comes alive at dusk with a quick, somewhat erratic flight. It gives visitors a different window into the tropics' twilight-flying butterflies.
