Orange-barred Sulphur
Phoebis philea
One of the largest sulphurs in the Americas: males are bright yellow with an orange bar across the forewing and orange-edged hindwings, while females range from yellow to deeper, more patterned forms. A strong flier that eagerly works red and orange flowers, it is showy and highly active on display.
